About BOTIM Ultra
BOTIM is a communication app that allows users to make voice and video calls, as well as send messages, to other users around the world. The app has gained popularity due to its ability to connect users with their friends and family, regardless of their location.
Recently, Astra Tech, a UAE-based technology development group, acquired BOTIM to relaunch into an Ultra app. By acquiring BOTIM, AstraTech is committed to advancing its goal of disrupting consumer technology and creating a global standard for Ultra-apps.
As the region’s largest and most popular MENA-built communications platform BOTIM is set to be the first of its kind in the region to streamline the interactions of millions of users, enabling them to transact and engage with ease.
Requirements
This an experiential opportunity for students and recent graduates (aged 18 to 26) looking to reimagine the future of applications through innovation. The BOTIM hackathon presents a unique opportunity to address two critical challenges in today's digital landscape.
The first challenge involves the development of a telemedicine feature that can seamlessly integrate with the BOTIM platform, enabling users to access medical consultations and advice from anywhere in the world. With the growing demand for remote healthcare services, especially in underserved areas or during times of limited physical mobility, the integration of telemedicine into BOTIM can significantly enhance access to medical care and improve health outcomes for millions of users globally.
The second challenge focuses on creating a BOTIM Ultra solution that integrates cryptocurrency into the remittance model, enabling seamless and secure cross-border payments. By leveraging the power of blockchain and cryptocurrency, participants in the hackathon can develop innovative solutions that can transform the remittance process, making it faster, more cost-effective, and more secure for users.
Both challenges hold immense significance in today's digital world, where technology has the potential to revolutionize healthcare access and financial transactions. The BOTIM hackathon provides a unique platform for participants to come up with creative solutions that can positively impact the lives of millions of users globally, and contribute to the advancement of telemedicine and cryptocurrency adoption in the remittance space.
The hackathon will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at the Museum of the Future.
